Shipping and Return Policy

All orders are shipped from Illinois. Transit time will vary depending on your location. Most items arrive within 5-10 Business days.

Orders are processed for shipment Monday through Saturday, excluding U.S. Holidays. Orders received after 2:00 PM CST will ship the following day.

Our primary shipping provider is the United States Postal System. You will receive a tracking number once your order has shipped. Please allow up to 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.

Please note: USPS will be closed for package shipping on Federal holidays including New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Express shipment is available for an additional charge as noted in chart below. Order must be received by 2:00 PM CST for express shipping.

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help.
✅ Eligible Returns
You may return items within 10 days of delivery if:

The item you received was incorrect

The book arrived damaged (beyond normal wear for used books)

The item was not as described on our website
Please note: Since we specialize in used and pre-loved books, slight wear and aging are to be expected and are not considered defects.
🔁 How to Request a Return

Email us at info@belleplainebooks.com with your order number and reason for return.

Include photos if the item was damaged or not as described.

We’ll respond within 1–2 business days with instructions and a return shipping label if approved.
💸 Refunds

Once we receive the return, we’ll issue a full refund to your original payment method within 5 business days.

Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
